A couple noob questions

Hi!

I am very new to this, and wow this program is amazing.

I have a few questions if you would be so kind. I am using Resolume Arena 4.

1) I have a video that I just want to add some effects to, I have audio to go with it but it doesn't have a set tempo. I detached the audio, in the hope that it will help with my problem but it hasn't. The video for some reason gets shrunk, maybe it's trying to fit to a certain tempo or something, and it is smaller and sped up, I just want it to stay the same, is there a way I can do that?

2) I have been recording effects on the fly using a midi controller, that is cool but is there a way to actually automate these parameters?

Have you tried setting the transport mode of the clip to timeline? https://resolume.com/manual/en/r4/clips#transport
