Yes, there seem to be some problems with loading older Flash files after you update to the newest Flash version.
We'll see what we can do.
For now, you can either try rolling back the Flash update or to update your Flash content to Flash 10. Those seem to work fine still.

Rolling back your Flash update: http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-rever ... n-windows/
Updating your files to Flash 10 requires access to Flash Pro and the original .fla file.

Try doing the flash rollback to something other than 18. Try the last 15 or 16 version.
Unless you building some super cutting edge flash graphics, using version 18 is pretty useless.

The ActiveX version may not be able to be rolled back to previous version.
Visit this page in Internet Explorer, it should automatically read the Flash Player version you have installed
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb ... ndows.html
I ran the uninstaller and installed version 16.0.0.305 and the above page still reads 18.0.0.209 for me.
This should help to make sure ActiveX controls are enabled and working.

Flash files that I've created work just fine for me. I've tried a few of the flash files posted in the other Flash post you made and have mixed results. My system doesn't crash, but wont load them. It has something to do with the version the Flash file is created for. Best to try contacting the creator of those files to see if they can export to a new version of Flash.
I ran 4.2.0 since it came out with no problems and recently upgraded to 4.2.1 and still no issues with any of my Flash files.
