So I am working with an SWF countdown timer. I would like to use Edge detect somehow to create an outline (which is easy). What I can't seem to do is, once Edge detect is applied, the center of each character is always black. I can apply color the the White outline, but not the black center.
The Resolume manual says "Traces and optionally colorizes the outlines of the shapes in the clip." but is there a way to colorize the center one color and the edge a different color?
I greatly appreciate any help!

Re: Font color w/ separate Outline color
You can use the drop shadow plugin (found in the forum) to create an outline by setting the distance to zero, then change the saturation and brightness to 1 and change the hue to what you want.
If your text is white, you can add colorize before the drop shadow.
If your text is white, you can add colorize before the drop shadow.
Re: Font color w/ separate Outline color
DropShadow is probably the method with the most control but if you drop the opacity of the EdgeDetect a nudge that will also give you an outline with a fill.
Re: Font color w/ separate Outline color
Thanks, found it, I will have a look. I think the drop shadow is probably best. I did mess with the opacity of Edge Detect. But I really wanted a Blue font, with a white or black boarder. So by your description, drop shadow is probably best.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Font color w/ separate Outline color
Pretty darn close, I would not have guessed to go in that direction. It would be nice to have a sharp edge to the outline, but I can get it pretty good. I am very happy I can dress up basic fonts in other ways now too. Thank you again!
