I half solved the issue by following the guide on this post but still ran into problems that I posted on the forum you can read here:

Anyhow, can someone point me to a good place to understand all this audio routing?makes my head spin. nor do i understand SMPTE-wiki is no help can someone explain it to me and its application within resolume?
I have audio hijack and sound flower. Lets say I want to take audio from a DJ rig or logic pro X and run it through Resolume while also hearing it through my monitors. How do I do this? Why can't this be straightforward?am i missing some basic knowledge that makes my head spin with this stuff?
