Possible to Lock Layers or Columns?
I have a setup running that needs to lock the layers from being moved from columns. Once the show is set I need it lock from everything but Play pause and Load. Is this possible?
Re: Possible to Lock Layers or Columns?
try the ignore column trigger option, which is available for individual clips, and layers.

Re: Possible to Lock Layers or Columns?
I don't think that will work. I need to stop the possibility of dragging Layers into other columns (which I can remove all columns) and stop things from being changed.
If the computer is backstage unmonitored I don't want a stage hand messing with it.

You don't want to lock things too tight so that a trained operator can troubleshoot and remediate problems if something goes wrong but I leave shows behind all the time and I find that the best way to prevent from an accidental change is to use a controller so that the operator doesn't directly interfaces with the computer running Arena 5.
There are many types of controllers out such as MIDI controllers, laptops, tablets etc... there but I personally use OSC on a small laptop so that I can easily fine tune my composition and I always use a wired network.
Depending on the show I'm programming, I'll use Ravensc's controller on a PC or Mac or Vezer/Qlab on a Mac. For example unning Ravensc's controller on a small laptop would be fairly inexpensive and give you a layer of safety that you would normally not have especially if you relocate the media server running Arena 5 to the other side of the control room.
My $.02

I'm unfamiliar with Ravenscs controller but it appears he is a user? Are you talking about the think linked in his signature?
Re: Possible to Lock Layers or Columns?
with one of these remote controller softwares you could set up headless media server(s) sitting in a rack on stage, controlled by a cheap laptop (or a smartphone) anywhere via wifi,
and if you need to adjust something in resolume you can use teamviewer with the ip address to connect to the server.
(the server may need a monitor or an EDID emulator for the gui)
