Resolume arena 5 output issue

Post by GUNDUDE500 »

Hello,
i'm having some serious problems with resolume arena 5 when trying to output visuals to a projector. It simply wont show anything. just black screen. changing screen or composition resolution doesn't help.

OS : Windows 10
Projector native resolution : 1024x768
Connection : Vga -> Hdmi // tried Vga -> minidisplay port but doesn't work.
Visuals : 1080p in DXV3 and h.264 codecs // outputting a single image doesn't work either.

Otherwise the second display is working just fine. Things like PowerPoint work with no problems at all.
I tried to output visuals on my sony 4k TV through resolume arena 5 (Hdmi -> Hdmi) and that WORKED too. Seems like the resolume arena 5 is just hating that projector i'm using.

Please help :/

you have to activate an output in the Output menu.
which one have you selected?
Software developer, Sound Engineer,
Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch
try for free: http://programs.palffyzoltan.hu

ok, can you see your content playing in the output preview?
you may have turned the composition opacity down.

Have you tried using the advanced output interface to output to your 2nd display?

Also you mentioned in your first post VGA to HDMI and VGA to minDP, I'm assuming you mean you'r using either HDMI or miniDP to send a VGA signal to your display, correct? Does your projector have a DVI input?

I don't really understand what i have to do when i'm in advanced output. I'm new to resolume arena. And yes, i'm trying to send a VGA signal to hdmi or miniDP and no, the projector doesn't have a DVI input.

When i select output to windowed display 1 a PART of the content shows only on my main display, not the projector.
My video card is gtx970m

Doesn't your GTX970 have a DVI-I output which carries both analog and dual-link digital. All you have to do is get a DVI to VGA cable and you should be set.

In the advanced output all you need to do is assign your projector to the screen.
