Transport commands for groups

Post by madido »

It would be nice to have all the transport commands (including switch from timeline to SMPTE) for the entire group.

Currently, each group has its own transport subset but there is no shortcut to select multiple clips to turn them to timeline mode at the same time.

Two tricks re. timeline mode if that's your default mode.

1) Go to preference and set your Default Video Clip Transport to Timeline

2) Create a keyboard shortcut such as T for Timeline mode and choose Selected Clip and Timeline in the dropdown menus.

Yes, I assigned shortcuts to timeline and smpte values to clips, this way I can unconnect from timecode chasing.
But I have to create shortcuts on all clips one by one, that's why it would be nice to do it on a group, so it would be applied to every clip loaded in a layer that belong to group

You can do this directly via OSC using wildcards
/composition/layers/1/clips/*/transporttype

You can multi select the clips, and use the Clip menu - Transport options to set all clips to the transport type you'd like.
Software developer, Sound Engineer,
Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch

As a side note, it would nice to have an "all selected clips" option for keyboard shortcuts to apply batch shortcuts.
