Multiple Camera input bug.

Post by warpnote »

Hi Guys, running Arena 6.0.3 and having this bug:

Steps:
Connect 2x Magwell USB capture cards with live sources to the computer.
I am using these ones -> http://www.magewell.com/usb-capture-sdi
Find the "XI100DUSB-SDI Video" in the sources list.
Load to a empty clip cell and lanch.

Result:
Entries in the sources list does not have a number suffix like in 5.1.4.
And all instances in the deck will launch source1/cam1. Camera 2 is not available.

Thanks guys, hope you can work this one out :)

Hey Warpnote, we are aware of this problem and we are currently looking at it (#10265). We haven't found a fix or a workaround for it yet.

Hey mate, pretty sure I was working with you on this in Vancouver. A sneaky workaround would be using touch designer to capture each source and then use spout to send it over. Not optimal and you may not feel comfortable with it for shows. But anyone finding this thread in a serious bind can use the free version if they don’t have access to 5.

Yep you sure did, really appreciate all you guys at the show!
You're the one that did that 27k AE comp right?
Normally they have a small BlackMagic mixer for 4 Magwell Cams, into a separate PC running Notch, and then into Resolume. But we decided to go lighter on this gig, due to the quick changeover, and me not travelling that much these days.

Hi there, is there already a solution for that? I'm considering purchasing a second Maxwell USB Capture HDMI and I'm wondering if I'd run into trouble by using two of them as individual input sources.

Pretty sure this was fixed 5-6 years ago.
