Resolume Alley is a nice and usefull tool, but why is it set up to open medias (Mac) only in "user/document/Resolume Alley folder" ? I don't stock my DXV files in my system disk, but on different external SSD. When I open files, it always goes back on this root path, that is stupid!
The only alternative is to grab files from finder and send them to Alley open window.
Like in Arena, it would be nice to have favorites folders or to open up from last location.
Thanks, and keep on doing things users are waiting for!
Alley, nice but could do better
Re: Alley, nice but could do better
It operates as any other media player does (VLC for example).
I can double click on files (or batches of files), I can drag files into the app once it's open, and I can browser folders from withing the "open" option.
What is it not doing, that other media players are (VLC for example)?

Re: Alley, nice but could do better
Maybe someone here can help me out:
I cant start Alley on my VJ Laptop (specs in Signature): I get a message saying "Make sure your system meets the requirements, e.G. openGL version 3.2"
I did a quick search but couldn´t find any hint what version i have.
I did updated the drivers of my card and hoped that solves it, but it didnt.
On my a lot older PC it started flawless, but i use this since years and had dozens of video related programms on it installed and endless codecs etc... So comparing the 2 systems is not usefull
What can i do? Were can i look what is the problem?

Does Resolume 6 run fine on that machine?
I modified the OS file associations on my machines to have all movs opened by Alley, so I just double click the file I want to view.Ferloz wrote:The only alternative is to grab files from finder and send them to Alley open window.
