Luck and Unlock - Resolume

Hey guys,

Hope you're all doing well.

I would Kindly request this following feature + details:

• Resolume + all Connected external tools to manage Resolume : Lock and Unlock

• After Lock: I need a Blurry Screen, and No Function Taking Action (Keyboard, Midi, DMX, bla bla) connected to Resolume

• Unlocking: To have a Password to Unlock

• While being Locked: Visual/Video is still Running, and the Output is Still On.

Why this Feature:

• A lot of times, we do our setup, before our show... and wait for few hours, before we start performing, and leave our computers Turned on and Resolume Running.

• Most of the time, we leave/get away from our Computers while waiting for our performance time.

• We go to the Toilet and come back, while performing

• We go fix some technical issues and come back.

Reasons for this Feature:

• Greedy New VJs taking Pictures or Videos of our Laptop/Composition/ Footage Names/ bla bla.... which should be Privet and personal

• People with Bad intentions, switching visuals or even turning off the screen

• Others, simply mass around with our Computers or MIDI or DMX or bla bla... while we are not around..... thinking they are cool, and can have fun.

I would like to add..... I did check on your manual (PDF), before sending out this e-mail, and all the "lock" features are for VJs and related to their performance..... and not When a VJ is away from his/her computer.... Thus, my request is something New and to be added (please correct me if im wrong)

This feature already exists in Most of the Top Lighting Desks ( such as: Grand MA, Hog, Avolite....).... and i really think, it would be a Very BIG and Useful feature for Resolume and Resolume Users too

I honestly don't know how Complex this request is... from Coding, Programing, and functionality (Win/OSX) side is..... But, if it is doable.... i really would like to request this feature..... you can Not Imagine how much it will give us all ( users of Resolume), comfort and peace of mind, while we are away from our computers.

I also don't know, if others requested this feature, before me.... but i still believe, it would be an Awesome Feature and a Super Added Value to Resolume, as all other VJing tools don't have it (at least, as much as i know).

I just lock the internal monitor off. There are acouple apps that need a key combo to turn it back on. Doesn’t mess with with resolume and no one can see what’s up.

Sounds "Interesting" and sO much A-Like for what I (and my team) are looking for.... Can you please share the Name of the Apps.... and if they work on Windows (10) or Mac OSX (10.14)?

What I have done to fix that, is to turn my advanced output on, add a new screen, then make that screen my display 1, to get back to it, you have to use the shortcut to get to advanced output...then set back the screen to virtual output... problem solved...




However I +1 this tho...i would love a dedicated Lock function for sure...

of corse withe osc/midi/dmx abillity to switch it on and out from the light desk automatically, because they have moste times a timed feature to lock, and a password protection for unlock. it is absolutly nesseccary for profesional use in big environments with people arround drinking and searching for adventure.........

I have "Tried" this... and "It is NOT useful" to those who "know" and " are willing to Steal You".... please, let me know if you managed to find a Better Solution!

We... (at Eye See Experience) waited for the NEW Resolume 7... and Still, did NOT get this Feature... and Again, thanks for the Support, for this Unique Feature!... We Hope, We will get there, and have this feature, soon enough!
