Got 3 inputs, 3 layers, 3 effects, 3 spout-outputs. Everything works fine for about half an hour, and then: freeze...
Tried this on 2 systems so far.
Any ideas how to overcome this. Ideally it should run for about 8 hours nonstop. Or is this a limitation of the demo-version? (I'd like to have this fixed before purchasing : ) )
How to make Avenue more stable?
Re: How to make Avenue more stable?
What version of Resolume are you running and what are the GPU, CPU, and system memory (ram) specifications of your machines?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: How to make Avenue more stable?
There is no such limitation in the demo.
What do you do in Resolume or on the machine right before it freezes?

Re: How to make Avenue more stable?
My current system:
Avenue 7.2.1
Windows 10
2x Intel Xeon E5-2687W
64GB Ram
RTX2080ti
The productionsystem is a bit beefier, but it had the same issue. Haven't got those specs nearby.
Actually, I dont do anything : ). I have the system set up, inputs and outputs are live and I just let it be. After a while I notice that the outputs are freezed - and so is Avenue. Touching the soft makes the UI go light grey and it's time to force-quit.
Tried it with ndi-inputs and mp4's as inputs - same result.

How is the GPU and VRAM usage around the freeze?

Re: How to make Avenue more stable?
The video-inputs (either mp4 or ndi) were 4k, I've switched it to HD, and HD-out as well, and it seams to be a lot more stable. At 4K it wouldn't give me a playback of 30fps neither, at hd it does.
I would think though , that - regarding the system usage - a higher resolution wouldn't be an issue.
Only resolume:
7% cpu
16% ram
17% gpu
Resolume and Unity
10% cpu
18% ram
27% gpu

Re: How to make Avenue more stable?
Do you have the primary windows display connected to your RTX card, and Resolume assigned to render on the RTX too in the nvidia 3D settings?

Re: How to make Avenue more stable?
Yup, primary and only screen connected to rtx.
How do I assign the rtx to render resolume?

Re: How to make Avenue more stable?
If you open up the nvidia control panel, there should be a 3d settings option on the left, where you can select the preferred renderer.
Do you have the latest 456.38 nvidia drivers?
