I often make visuals for slow-moving, ambient music. For this I'm using the 'random' effect automation a lot, but short interval options makes my graphics move a lot faster than I'd like. 8 beats seems like a really low and arbitrary limit for how often the playhead jumps to a new position.
Here's a screenshot pointing to what I'm talking about –
This issue, combined with others related to syncing makes the set feel jittery and unstable as opposed to smooth and synced, and it's more apparent with slower music.
Other sync issues:
Timeline not in sync with effect parameters:

Some effects can't be synced to BPM at all, e.g. shift glitch

"Restart" setting on effect parameters doesn't seem to work
When I'm accompanying hard charging 145 BPM techno, these limitations are not so much of a problem, but they are frustrating when working with slower music.
Longer interval options for random parameters
Re: Longer interval options for random parameters
BPM synced parameters are synced to the composition beat grid by default. (BPM phase lock)
If you'd like to restart, set the parameter Start option to Clip start: https://resolume.com/support/en/paramet ... t-settings
