I wanted to make sure I would be able to do what I need to with the software before I purchase. What I need the software to do is really very simple.
I am build an elevator simulator for my Christmas event.. using this video.. https://youtu.be/sf1DElL5SdU?si=eIpHUN9Q__veQEuG
I need to play a video triggered by a midi button and display that video across five displays. I have a Xeon E3-1245 3.5Ghz with 32gb Ram and a VisionTek Radeon 7750 GPU with six outputs.
Will Avenue do that?
Will Resolume Avenue work for my application?

You'll need a better GPU IMO. some 3080ti's on ebay are under $500

I'm being told I will have to have Arena in order to get the advanced output features?
Re: Will Resolume Avenue work for my application?
You can drive multiple displays from Avenue.
Add multiple screens, and set the slice in the screens to get their inputs from individual layers.
https://resolume.com/support/en/slice-routing
Then you can play your 5 videos on 5 layers and have them go out to 5 separate outputs.
Or if you have one big video file, you can use the input slices (without routing) to select the areas of the composition you want to show on a specific display.

SDI output cards + a beefy GPU is also another way to do this (unless if all of your outputs make up a single screen, then I would just use a few 4k outputs and split those across multiple endpoint devices)

Indeed, you can add more outputs with capture cards, however capture card output is only available in Arena.Arvol wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2024 20:40 SDI output cards + a beefy GPU is also another way to do this (unless if all of your outputs make up a single screen, then I would just use a few 4k outputs and split those across multiple endpoint devices)
