When I create anything in Wire I have to specify the resolution in the patch settings.
Does that mean that you can't create resolution-independent Wire patches?
Can the Resolution be taken from the Resolume composition where the patch is being used?
Resolution questions.

Re: Resolution questions.
In resolume, it will automatically take to the resolution of the composition or the layer. The resolution that you can set in the patch window is just the Wire resolution. For instance, if you would like to record a movie straight from wire with the export function.
the patch info node with give you the info about resolution etc. from resolume.

Re: Resolution questions.
I've found that a Wire patch will automatically detect the composition resolution when it's added to the composition, but it doesn't update if the composition resolution is subsequently changed. I need to remove the patch and add it again for the resolution change to take effect, which loses the current settings, automations, etc. (unless they're saved as a preset).
Does anyone know if there's a way to make a Wire patch read the composition resolution in 'signal flow' so that it detects resolution changes on-the-fly and updates itself?

It will not automatically update the size of your patch, but what you can do is change the patch size manually. In the clip panel under the name of your patch, you can set the width and height to match your new composition size.
I hope this helps you out...
