Basic HELP please!!!

Post by simplysimon »

Greetings folks, from New Zealand!
I'm able to operate Avenue on a very basic level, which is sufficient for the time being!
I've created one show for one of my band projects, but I now have a second band which needs
me to do the same.
I'm struggling to understand how I 'start again' with this second show, whilst retaining the first, as
both projects will be touring in and around one another.
I'm hoping this is possible with Avenue?
If someone could assist that would be much appreciated :D

Hi, good morning of course this is possible. A show is called a composition in Resolume and you can make as many compositions as you like so for every show, you could have a different composition that you can use. If the two bands play together on one night, it's probably easier to make one composition with two decks. Deck one will be for the first band and the deck two will be for the second band.

I hope this helps and you can figure it out. If you have more/any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Layers and their settings are shared in a composition between decks, so any change you make to layers settings, will affect other decks too, just something to keep in mind.
I'd recommend creating a new composition for the new band, if you want the current as base, you can do a Save As in the composition menu, to create a copy of your current composition.

You can load decks from different compositions into the currently opened one via the Compositions panel, drag and drop or double click.
