Support new codecs
Re: Support new codecs
ok. you send me a jpeg with:
3600x2700px
96 dpi
RGB 8bit per channel
something might be wrong with this file - you are right - it's not possible to place it inside a clipdeck.
I opened the pic with photoshop and just resafed it as JPEG and.. tadaaa...it works. Also tried it with PAINT....works.
You should send your file to the resolume guys..they might have an answer.
Good Luck!

Re: Support new codecs
We're not going to add support for more codecs or image formats anytime soon. If we don't support a certain file format now, we do this for a reason.
However, it's a good point that Resolume can be a bit more transparent in letting know when a file is not supported. We'll see what we can do about that.
BTW, it's a bit of a public secret that you can play .mp4 files by renaming the extension to .mov. Any drops in framerate and stability are at your own risk however.

Re: Support new codecs
I've noticed that there's also some odd avi codecs (some versions of xvid for example) that will crash arena if attempted to play (even as preview before loaded). They show up in the media browser, but as soon as play is attempted arena will crash

We'd love to get our hands on a few of these files, LXConcepts.
