You shouldn’t have an option from the fX4, you either bought the HDMI version or the DisplayPort version.
Now, if you’re referring to the signal going to the fX4, I would definitely use DisplayPort over HDMI.

Yes, the Datapath Fx4 offers the choice of three inputs, two HDMI 1.4, supporting 4K at 30fps and one DisplayPort 1.2 input capable of 4K at 60fps and you can switch inputs using the user interface.
Keep in mind that:
Keep in mind that:
Datapath fX4 manual p17 wrote:If an input source is connected to the Fx4 but the actual signal fails, the Fx4 will try to connect to a valid signal by scanning the input connectors in the following order: 1 - DisplayPort 2 - HDMI 1 3 - HDMI 2
If no signal is detected on either of the three input connectors the Fx4 will display a pre-configured Datapath logo. To upload your preferred logo (max 4k), click on the Upload Logo button in the Devices Tab and browse to upload your logo.
Re: connecting to multiple displays from HDMI output
Hi,
thanks for all informations !
I have 2 more questions so if I understand when we have 1 video output,
with Matrox Triplehead 2Go or Datapath x4 we can get 3 or 4 video output.
but in Resolume when we do the mapping (Output > Advanced)
if I select my screen 1 I can see in the device selection, 3 or 4 display too ?
I can put 2 or more Datapath x4 card for get 8 output ?
Last question on the Datapath fx4 I se 4HDMI out put and one Displayport output
if in my computer I have 4 port
I can use 3 for 3 datapath fx4, connect 12 video projector and 3 other video projector on the displayport out right ?
and on my computer use the last port video for my control screen it s work ?
thank you for your attention
