Correct.
I just updated my BIOS to the latest, so I will be conducting more tests. Although, currently it is producing more of the same results.

Re: Nvidia settings/FPS
Thank you Arvol and Zoltan for your input,
I've tried all the above recommendations and ran tests all weekend and find myself unable to get above 30 fps.
Is this something that might be addressed in the next update, or is this something to do with an incompatibility issue w/the graphics card and the laptop?
I'm confused and perplexed.

Looks like your monitor might be running at 30 Hz.media resole wrote:I've tried all the above recommendations and ran tests all weekend and find myself unable to get above 30 fps.

It could be either Optimus messing with you, or your display might be set to 30 Hz in the Adapter properties in windows.
I assume you have the power plugged in to the laptop right?

Re: Nvidia settings/FPS
Zoltan, thanks for the reply,
Unless there is something hidden, my monitor appears to be set at 60hz (its the only option displayed).
I find that w/out an output, I get a consistent 30 fps. With 1 output, I get 20-30 fps. (there is no noticeable flaw in the picture or audio).
Again, unless it is hidden somewhere, It doesn't appear that my machine can disable Optimus.
Is there any other way I can reach 60 fps w/out tearing, or does it matter?

The BIOS optimus setting may be disguised as Power or performance settings.media resole wrote:Again, unless it is hidden somewhere, It doesn't appear that my machine can disable Optimus.

Re: Nvidia settings/FPS
I currently am running the fall creators update on Win 10 (Home). It's very unstable. Does it make sense to revert back to Win 7? What problems w/ R6 should I anticipate?
thanks in advance,

Re: Nvidia settings/FPS
I currently stopped the crashes by disabling Full screen optimization for the program. I am however still stuck in 20-30 fps purgatory and am unable to locate Optimus in BIOS.
Again, thanks for everyone feedback.

Re: Nvidia settings/FPS
Had the same issues as the op this weekend. Stupid windows Update. I updated my Nvidia driver to 397.xx (some thing like that, the latest one.) And that got me back up to 60

I rolled back to win 7. Life got easier.
