I made a Wire version for you that does the job it's not as fancy as the original slides transform. But it does have this extra option.

Enjoy. I hope this works for you until there is a update in the real slice transport effect.
Thank you so much for this tool! Was puzzled at how to achieve exactly this with upscaling slices in Arena proportionally, trying workarounds etc. I prefer not to use
Layer > Autosize > Stretch to be able to use 1:1 resolution clips that don't need stretching on the same layer.
Makes life so much easier on those custom resolution gigs where graphics are provided in a million different formats but pixelmapped content still needs to snap into the right place!

Update: tried it on a gig and I'm sad to report this workaround/tool creates a lot of processing overhead on larger compositions. Just a word of caution if someone was planning on using this Wire plugin for their shows.
I was running a comp of 6720x3024 with clips for different slices/LED screens at 3360x2016px, 2688x2016px and 2688x1008px. As soon as I introduced the Wire plugin to the mix, the fps dropped quite a lot. When running multiple clips with the plugin, playback dropped to unusable performance (below 10fps and down to 1-2fps at times).
GPU & RAM usage skyrocketed and went back down as soon as I removed the plugin.
Tried with two different PC-s (i7, RTX 2080/3070) as well as a M1 Pro MBP on the latest Arena. NVIDIA Studio Drivers, not the latest ones but pretty recent.
All files on internal SSD and in DXV3, of course. No random file formats loaded in the deck.
Had to revert to using standard slice transform + over scaling and Arena handled playback like a champ, steady frame rates at 50fps.
I guess since the plugin is handled as an effect there is no solution to this except keeping comps and files smaller to avoid the need for a ton of processing?

Slice transform scaling before transform got fixes recently, have you tried it again with the latest releases?

Just tried with the latest v (7.21.1) and indeed moving Slice Transform before Transform of a clip does the trick. Thank you for that hint!
When adding Slice Transform it defaults to being after Transform so that probably added some confusion to the mix.
Not sure if it would have worked in previous versions but if so, it would have been a random trial and error discovery.
Thanks to the dev team working to improve the software!
Off to slicing and routing. Yay!
