Does resolume only capture via firewire or usb.
I've got a dv cam connected to my cards tv in and it doesn't work.
Any ideas?
recommended webcam or dv cam
I have had no luck with any analog?TV inputs, but DV seems to work fine. Make sure your camera is plugged in and turned on before you start Resolume. Also, don't turn off the camera with Resolume running or it may lock-up, - i find loading a new deck "kills" the camera feed, and the only way to get it back is restart Resolume - but i haven't tested that much yet.
I have had the same issue as everyone with resolume hanging when the video stream is stopped. I found different ways to go around it.
1) When you see the video will stop (use a timer if needed) remove (put something else) it from the 3 live tracks, and don't put it back until the video stream is back again, resolume should not hang (technique used while rewinding tapes)
2) If it hangs don't panic, restore the videostream in the way you want (rewind tape 2 seconds for example) and prepare to use the first trick. as soon as the video stream is back resolume will work again.
3) easiest way, use a piece of hardware that allows you to switch between video inputs. These hardware most of the time have a standard output like a blue or black screen that will send a video stream to resolume and it will never hang because of this video problem again.
As of loading decks, if resolume tells the video stream is already use just reload the video feed track from a saved deck and everything will be back to normal. To avoid this problem when you load decks, try not to crash the video feed with another clip and you won't have any more problems
