had the same prob crop up last week but it was because i intalled the ATI Omega drivers and they didnt like my lappy.

A fix!
I had this problem for ages and it drove me nuts, but found the solution posted in a different forum thread:

When I switched my display to 16bit colour (instead of 32bit), as suggested by igraq in that thread, it totally fixed the deck loading problem

well here is a thing and reaffirms my belief that it is a 23-24 month time period that causes the fault to kick in
using the same installer for 2.3 - same serial i have installed it onto another machine and it works fine and has done since i started looking into this in january
the other machine that has had the install for 23-24 months - i formatted the hdd - reinstalled from the bottom up used the same installer and serial as above and the problem is still there
both machines running on same service packs and same versions of all background apps Resloume is likely to access - quicktime etc
ths really does lead me to think it is something to do with a clock
what is even odder is when i install v2.41 from the website downloader and install the problem is still there
and this is despite a full format meaning no little registry entrys left behind from the previous install
could the app be updating from the site here and thathe 23-24 months time period is the key to the problem?
