thank you.
but i get stucked at second point. Their telling me to go to options->filecontrol, but there is no file control in that zoomplayer. I hope that i am not just such a unlucker/looser, but i followed the manual step by step and there is no filecontrol. ( couldn't find older version of zoom player, co i have the newest - might be the problem ).

What can i do about it?

In the new version of Zoomplayer, do this:

Open Options
Switch to Advanced Mode (button in lower left corner)
Find the System category in the left-hand panel
Open it by pressing on the +
Click on Filter Management
There you should see the Registered Filter Manager

Hi gpvillamil :)

Is there a significant benefit from installing CCCP codec pack over installing K-Lite mega codec pack?

Cheers,
Paul.

hmm.. i think i allready tryed everything! With KLite, with CCCP, deleting splitters in zoomplayer, erasing allover again and again, reinstaling resolume, playing with new monitor and so i go on.
Hell i am loosing strenght for it! HELP ME! I really dont know where the problem might be! Its like torture ;o)

The only different thing from inmatrix startover is that there is two filters called 'cyberlink' something wich cant be unregistered.

Well sorry for bothering but i am really hopeless :o(

The CCCP codec pack is much simpler than K-Lite - it relies mostly on ffdshow, and does not install any redundant codecs or splitters.

However - I find that Resolume runs really well when the *only* extra codec is PicVideo MJPEG and with the system default AVI splitter. All my clips are in MJPEG.

@kiwii:
Stop wasting time! :) Re-install Windows XP. And install the PicVideo MJPEG codec, and install resolume. Sometimes it is best to start all over again.
And when you have a working Windows XP, make sure you make an image with Norton Ghost for example.

@gpvillamil:
Thanx for the tip. I have always used K-Lite, but I found that I had to be very careful with the installation options. Best is to leave everything unchecked, and use only the basic codecs.
Indeed, the only codec you will ever need is the PicVideo MJPEG codec.

Änd where can i download that PicVido MJEPG codec? I downloaded one called pegasus PIC video2 wich include Motion JPEG, Wavelet 2000, Lossless JPEG.

Still i dont know what Norton Ghost is and what is it for. I have my clips .avi and i also downloaded some clips like VJZOO clips - none can be opened. :-(

That is the right codec, the Pegasus PICVideo MJPEG codec. You've already got the right codec.

Forget Norton Ghost, that's only for backup purposes.

Just re-install Windows XP, install the Pegasus PICVideo MJPEG codec, and install Resolume. Stop messing around, get busy with re-installing! :)

So.. hiho again!

Thanks you once more. The thing that helped really was reainstalling my windows. After fresh reinstall i just installed pegasus PICVideo MJPEG codec and resolume - nothing else.

So can i ask u what to install next? I want to be able to play all my vids and movies formats but i don't want to start with reinstall again! Also virtual dub won't open some of them.

And second and i ihope last question is how to start with vjing? Right now i'm just playing with it. Any advices, tutorials?

Well thanks once more and c u!
