resolume version 2.0 for mac??
hi!
i would like to see resolume for the mac, too....because i know many designers who work on mac desktops and powerbooks and they really really would like to work with resolume because it is for sure the coolest vj app out there!! but they HAVE to work with other not realy satisfying tools.
i work on a pc desktop and i got a powerbook, too. i think about bying a pc laptop or barebone ONLY for vjing!! because i love resolume...but still can't use it for my sessions! thats ill! only for one application!
so....pppllleeeaaassseee do it for the mac! in the name of hundreds!

hi all,
i think asking bart and eddy to make a version for the mac is kinda UNdoable...
since mac and pc are very different in architecture making resolume for mac forces the programmers to make it from scratch (i think).
and that would result in a later release of version 2 or a release of version 2 for mac 6 months after the release of the pc version(that is if bart and eddy have nothing else to do, wich i think they have)...
so bottomline is: if i have to choose for a super pc app or a half-super crossplatform app i would have to go for the super pc app...
by the way bart and eddy do u guys have a fanclub
keep up the good work!

A PC is just as good/bad as a Mac. It's the person behind it that makes the difference. Some Mac users think that Windows 2000/XP is too complex and they just need the Mac for just one thing and that is getting their work done without tweaking their system to the max. They don't need all the extra's the PC has to offer such as a wider range of applications and hardware. But... since MacOSX is around the average Mac user has a difficult task in understanding what's behind the hood to get it running smoothly. With every update of MacOSX you need a newer Mac and with every new version of X the support for older Macs in dropped. I myself run MacOS 10.2 (Jaguar) on a beige G3 tower at home and i cannot upgrade to Panther or Tiger anymore because Apple just stopped supporting this machine. I must now make use of a third-party application to get Panther running on this machine. The same counts for some older iBooks and iMacs that cannot run Tiger in the future. Apple sells both soft- and hardware so it's in their own interest to get the customer to buy a new Mac, not in your interest. Hell, i can even run XP on a Pentium II. It's not fast but it runs. I also have a G4 running at 867 Mhz and i doubt it will run the new MacOS Tiger fast enough and i probably need to upgrade my software again to make it compatible with Tiger too. And i say that Jaguar (10.2) is what the first version of X should have been. With every upgrade, from 10.2 to 10.3 and now 10.4 i have to pay the full price. If Microsoft would charge you for every Service Pack a lot of people would be pissed off about Microsoft doing such a thing.
There a plenty of other VJ-applications for the Mac so stop requesting for Resolume for Mac. I could ask the same thing to Apple to make Final Cut Pro or iDVD for PC. PC users must be greatfull to Apple that they made their iPods compatible for PC's now too.
And there are rumours that Apple is running OSX on the Intel platform somewhere in their laboratories so there must be something good about a Pentium after all.
