Resolume Arena 4.0.1 Keeps Crashing

Thanks for the error report and thorough testing! Are you using Flash content? Flash has to run on a priority thread, so it could potentially interfere with deck switching.

I've got a few flash movies loaded but don't use them often.
I've also now tried the same composition file on my main studio machine (also with R4.0.1) and somewhat strangely, I haven't been able to make it crash. Left it running overnight with selecting random clips and it was fine in the morning, whereas on my laptop (which has less software installed as it's my 'going out' machine) resolume is now somewhat flaky.
The only real differences are that the desktop has win7 ultimate with sp1 and the laptop doesn't, with the laptop also having the triplehead drivers installed...
Tomorrow is a bank holiday in the UK, so I'm going to try a fresh install (bought a spare 750G drive for extra footage! and recording space) of just Windows on the laptop and see if that helps any.

Last week I managed to do a troubleshooting day. I stumpled upon the need to Turn on "Aero" Styles in Windows 7 to run smooth videos. Usually I keep it turned on but in some cases Aero turns off. I found out that I accidently switched to 16bit colour output on my 2nd monitor (DualHead2go). This automatically shuts down AERO styles in Windows7 and you don't really recognize it. As I switched back to 32bit I could restart Aero and the performance of the videos runs much smoother. I played the whole night with only ONE crash That is a good enhancement but not really what I'm looking for (a live software may not crash) also performance dropped some time intense with 3 Flash Layers activated. Did you chech your Aero behaviour?
