I updated to fall creators up and this did not seem to have an effect anymore with the slow frame rate WITH V SYNC OFF. Now with v sync off I get extreme screen taring but great FPS. It’s the exact opposite with v sync on. Is it windows 10? What driver are you using ?

Exactly same problem here with a gtx1060 + Fall creators + 388.43.rawdesigns wrote:I updated to fall creators up and this did not seem to have an effect anymore with the slow frame rate WITH V SYNC OFF. Is vsync really such a hard concept to grasp?
There is literally zero benefit in having higher than FPS than your monitor refreshes at. If you're running at 60 fps, everything is working as it should. Things are right in the world. Dogs and cats live together in harmony.
If you're one of those people that likes to jerk off over the huge fps they're getting, you can turn off vsync. You'll get fps in the 100s. You will also get screen tearing and you will throw more than half of your rendered frames away.

Mine only occurs when i have more than 1 physical output - regardless of how the outputs are digitally routed (i.e duplicated via Advance Output or through Windows' display settings).Drnlvrz wrote:Exactly same problem here with a gtx1060 + Fall creators + 388.43.rawdesigns wrote:I updated to fall creators up and this did not seem to have an effect anymore with the slow frame rate WITH V SYNC OFF. Got frustrated, went to nVidia Control Panel, manually set every possible parameter to off or lowest.
Now i can run 2 outputs without drastic drop in framerates.

I set sizing of text on Windows display settings to 100% in my second monitor and now i have no tearing. Nice performance with Vsync off. 120-130 fps. Everything working fine.
With vsync on i got 20-22 fps without any content playing

How is res 6 going above 60 fps for you guys? I thought 6 was capped at 60fps.... my res 5 achieves 120+ fps but on 6 I barely get 50-60
