Do you have dropbox installed?
I found this
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1611689
The crash log the OP posted there looks similar to what we get reported.
Could you give uninstalling dropbox, updating it to a more recent version a try?
No dropbox installed. I do have adobe cc on there. Latest and greatest. Will try the uninstall path to test and report back.
Sharing some other testing results out of pure frustration....
I wiped my HD and did a clean install of sierra. Ran resolume and see a clear 10-15 fps drop just running resolume with the exact same 5 layers engaged. running anything else dropped it down to 25-29 fps. Decided to upgrade to high sierra. Same results. Will restore back to yosemite and see if i can't figure out the dialog crashing as that seems to be the best performance with resolume.
considering we're talking about a mid 2015 MBP i7 2.8GHz with 16GB RAM and radeon r9 m370x card...i'm becomeing more disappointed with Apple... </ end side rant>

Same exact issue. Really frustrating.
It crashes when I try to open a file through file dialog. AND doesn't do "save as" (pretends like it does but doesn't actually save)

You could try the drag and drop workaround,
or trying to use a new User account to run Resolume,
Or uninstalling or updating your dropbox client.

OK... I have never heard of the creating a new user.... I tried it, logged out and back in as the new user. Same exact issue.
I don't have Dropbox on this machine at all. My save as DOES work and I can open recent through the menu... just anything that requires a dialog crashes immediately.
Dragging in a composition doesn't work either.
I just keep hoping that the next version fixes the issue... I can't afford the performance hit of sierra or high sierra.

The Console may have some information about the crash.
Also a recent Resolume crash log could help us. You can find the Resolume crash logs in ~/Library/logs/DiagnosticReports/

Thanks,
it crashes in com.apple.pluginkit.framework activating a plugin.
The console logs probably have the plugin name.

Funny enough .crash files can't be attached

Ok trying to compress... Here we go, hopefully these will be helpful in solving this a bit:

Thanks for the files Zebbler,
The Console logs may have some info too when the crash happens, would be useful to find out which finder plugin this is related to.

Just let me know what else to grab....
It's funny it doesn't crash in Sierra or High Sierra.... but performance suffers for me (perhaps plugin related?)
