I recently switched to Resolume from Modul8 and am loving it so far. There is one thing that really really bugs me and maybe it's just me, but I can't seem to figure out how to preview a whole track (A or B) while the other one is playing, like any DJ would with tracks and like one can do with visuals in modul8.
I know how to preview a clip by clicking on it's name, but with my current setup (which makes the most ammount of sense to me / is easily controllable with midi) that is to have two layers set to A and 2 layers set to B, all the layer controls set to midi stuff plus all the clip boxes set to midi drum pads, and then dropping in new clips from the browser into the boxes as the set progresses and using a crossfader to fade between A and B.
It would be amazing to basically not have to click anything but just have the preview window switch between a and b (via midi / keys), and while something is playing on the active track to be able to just launch clips and adjust properties with the midi for the hidden track and then when ready to just crossfade or cut to it.
Any help? Am VJing for NYE and this would really boost my set!
