Resolume Powered Video Mixer

I dearly miss using my trusty V4 but with technology advances, video mapping, and multi screen setups, its not very practical. So I'm interested in building a Mixer powered by Resolume. Here's what I have planned out in my head:

Shuttle sized PC
Quad output video card
2x Black Magic Intensity Pro Capture cards
2x Cheap USB capture cards (you never know when you'll need it...)
Cheap USB/MIDI dongle
V4 as a control surface
Lilliput Touchscreen - 7" @ 1024x768
Possibly a Max/MSP interface to be displayed during performances?

The primary role of this machine will be mixing between capture cards, applying effects and occasional playback of logos. I currently have two licenses for Arena, one for R3, and a Mapio license. I'd like to use R3 and Mapio for this project. My main concern is stability. Any thoughts, concerns, comments?

especially in older versions resolume isn't that stable with midi...
don't know but maybe it's better to use a touchosc/lemur interface via osc, problem is you don't hold anything in your hand,...

just give midi a try but if it's unstable maybe try a osc variant (you can also try to convert the midi to osc adresses, so you can use a midi controller and don't use midi in resolume)

also the one or other effect is maybe a stability point...

try it out if it work for you ;)
