Hello,
I am probably missing something as I'm rather new to Resolume Arena. I am using Arena 4.1.3 for projection mapping. I've got a series of large and small boxes mapped and while the large boxes are mapped to clips within a composition, I'd like to have the small boxes follow along with the same VJ'ing clips as I cycle through - however I'd like them to play with an effect (basically, i want to keep my large slices projecting my clips with the small boxes displaying a kaleidoscope version of the clips). Is this at all possible? Sorry if this is a silly question! thanks!
Ashley
Mapping same video with applied effect into different slices
Re: Mapping same video with applied effect into different sl
A little bit confusing to me but the matter is clear concerning effects.
If you apply effects to the composition it will affect the entire composition and layers;
If you apply efffects to a layer, it will affect that layer only;
If you apply effects to a clip, it will affect that clip no matter what layer you load it.
You can set all effects to clips and save your composition before you start your gig.
Effects cannot be applied to slices so far.

So I guess I would have to make a duplicate layer (with effects) of each layer and trigger them at the same time as the initial layer to have the effect display on only secondary screens while the clip was unaffected on the primary screens?

Look into the Layer Router: http://resolume.com/manual/en/r4/sources#layer_router
