Problems with Arena 4.1.7 on Windows 8

Hi guys,
I am facing huge problems while I try to open and execute SMPTE content on Windows 8.
First, when I open the resolume it takes a fair time to set all the things up, about 2 or 3 minutes.
Second, after the program running the smpte all ok, I cant even click to preview a video, when I do, the program stops responding for a little while, 3 to 4 minutes and I have to wait.
Third, when I play a certain video which is attached to a smpte, the program also stops working for a while and I can't do nothing. I tried updating the Arena for 4.1.8 and using an older version the arena 4.1.6 and unfortunately nothing has changed.
Note that I have tested the same program in 5 different machines, I use 2 MBP 2012, 1 MBP 2011 with a dedicated graphic card and 2 Windows 7 with a GTX770, Intel Core i7 2600k and 16GB RAM and everything went well, I just got this problem on a Windows 8 machine.
The PC I am using for this is a gamer laptop, an ASUS ROG G750JW, with 16 GB ram, GTX 770M and 4th gen core i7 4700 HQ.
Thanks for the attention,
Renan
