windows 8.1

Post by hive8 »

I have a problem with windows 8.1, the one problem I thought was fixed.

I am using a GTX 970 ASUS 4GB with a core i7 and 32GB RAM with 2 x Samsung EVO 850 500GB

I have all my resolution Display 2 = 1920 x 1200 and Display 3 = 1920 x 1080 set in windows
Now when I am in Resolume 4.1.11 I see Display 2 as 1536 x 960 and Display 3 as 1920 x 1080

Not sure what is wrong here even windows 8.1 displays the right config do you have to go back down to windows 8 again, I did ask this question before and it was said there is no problem with that anymore.

Please I need a solution for this by tomorrow, we are open again on Thursday and the whole systems need to be working.

The strange things is tho it looks all the mapping is correct.

The problem is with Win 8.1 Desktop Scaling. When this is set to anything else than 100%, Resolume gets the wrong resolutions from the system and all sorts of craziness ensues.

The confusing thing is that Win 8.1 puts this setting at 125% without telling you, so you don't know it has changed.

We've done some fixes for this on the upcoming 4.2, but in general it's best to just set Desktop Scaling back to 100%: http://winsupersite.com/windows-8/hands ... ay-scaling
