Hi … On Resolume 4, I'm trying to set up a dissolve between column 1 and 2.
-C1 L1 has moving animation with efx
-C1 L2 has still gfx with z rotate and scale animated to fly full, covering C1 L1
When I try to dissolve to column 2, instead of just the full screen gfx from C1 L2. I get a bleed through of C1 L1 during the dissolve.
Any suggestions how I might eliminate this? Thanks!

Re: Dissolve between Columns bottom layer bleeds through
insert a layer to be layer 2,
place a black image on it,do it fully covers layer 1, place an ignore column trigger to layer2 clip2(right click menu)
on the fx clips set the input from composition to layer 1
now the fx transition should be showing just fx.
what transition blend are you using? alpha used to work for me without bleedthru of layers below with layer blend set to alpha 100%.

Re: Dissolve between Columns bottom layer bleeds through
A quick and dirty approach is to set your L2 at 100% add and fade your clip in L2 from 0 to 100% using the opacity timeline feature (right click on opacity)
and another approach with give you control of in and out fades is:

- L5: Layer Router of L2 using the opacity timeline feature
L4: Layer Router of L1 using the opacity timeline feature
L3: Blackout layer (same as Ravensc)
L2: Clips
L1: Clips

Re: Dissolve between Columns bottom layer bleeds through
I was also wondering, what would be the best way to make a cube or any effect transition or fly into a full screen graphic? Can this be done on the same layer or just the same column? Thanks again

The layer router ignores the source clip/layer opacity, but the layer routers' opacity could be automated.Oaktown wrote:A quick and dirty approach is to set your L2 at 100% add and fade your clip in L2 from 0 to 100% using the opacity timeline feature (right click on opacity)

Re: Dissolve between Columns bottom layer bleeds through
This is a good point but I wasn't suggesting using the LR for this quick and dirty approach. Just Clip 1 in L1C1, set L1C2 to ignore column trigger (which I forgot to mention) and Clip 2 in L2C2 with the opacity set on automatic.ravensc wrote:The layer router ignores the source clip/layer opacity, but the layer routers' opacity could be automated.Oaktown wrote:A quick and dirty approach is to set your L2 at 100% add and fade your clip in L2 from 0 to 100% using the opacity timeline feature (right click on opacity)
