Hello Guys. I'm trying to build my first media server console. I'm new in Resolum World. I normaly run my shows using Vista Spyder or Encore Systems. But this sounds more fun and less expensive to achive or create.
I ned to have at least 3 HDMI in, 4 SDI/SDI-HD in and 6 SDI/SDI-HD out. Need feed back about how powerful machine to get and the right capture and output cards to get. If any one can help.

You could simply do a good machine,

I use a
Motherboard Asus Dual Sk Z9PE-D8 WS with dual Xeon 2650 V2 it can handle 2 PCI 16x cards.
Dual SSD in RAID 0 for system and dual SSD RAID 0 for temp files (like the footage you will use in a venue)
I have two BlackMagic capture cards for dual input, you could use a 4 input HDSDI in one board version with some BMD mini converters, or some new BMD intensity extreme 4K.
For the output I use one GTX 970 and one GTX760 in a total of 7 usable outputs and 1 interface output.
To convert once again you could use BMD HDMI to SDI mini converters.
You could always use a better GTX with one or two matrox triple head DP edition. All this graphic cards use, DVI-I, HDMI or DP outputs, so easily you can get cables to HDMI.
