DXV with Alpha Channel from Adobe Media Encoder - Problem

Hi there!
Although endlessly discussed, I am trying to figure out the RIGHT method of preparing my files.
I have a few short videos with transparency
They need to be on top of longer video files
When I render from Adobe Media Encoder a DXV file while preserving trans. and 32 bit, I do get the alpha channel, but with artifacts and "noise"
I do get a clean file when I render out QT Anim + Alpha...
My 2 questions are:
What is the right method of rendering out DXV with alpha?
Is there anything wrong with importing into resolume QT Animation + files? (for me it's working well)
Thank you for any input!
Adam.

After loading into Resolume, try changing the alpha type setting and see if this fixes it.

What is the right method of rendering out DXV with alpha?
I use Adobe Media Encoder CC2015 to (re-)render video files to DXV3 codec and it works great. To make the work flow easier, I've created two presets, one for DXV3 High Quality with Alpha and one for DXV3 Normal Quality with Alpha but I almost always use High Quality.
Here is a link to two 10-second samples (one normal & one high):

As t13swift mentioned, DXV files should be played in [Straight] Alpha Type.
BTW t13swift, I noticed you're still using DXV2.2. By now, you should definitely use DXV3 instead.

It probably doesn't make a big difference when you have few files and layers but you should definitely get in the habit in using the DXV3 codec for all the videos you use in Resolume. The DXV codec was created by the Resolume team and it makes a huge difference with FPS especially when comps get complex.

Hi Guys, completely new to Resolume and just learning. However I am pretty good with Adobe and video editing. I am having a similar issue when I was re encoding all my files to DXV 3. All went great except one .mov file with Alpha that shows as being PNG in Resolume.
That original PNG clip plays with Alpha support like it is supposed to but the frame rate drops to about 15! When I re encode it to DXV 3 using Normal or High quality with Alpha, on playback in Resolume I still get the black background. I have checked the settings several times and tried with Adobe Media Encoder and Premiere. I basically lose Alpha when I re encode.
After reading the above "Straight" suggestion and I also tried the A button on the Resolume clip settings, but it does not toggle the Alpha on or off. I just always get the Black part. I am sure it is something I am doing, but no idea what. You can see on my attached screen shot that the main output there should be a clip shown below the snow...

Have you tried your png clip in after effects?

Not yet, figured there might not be any difference after trying the other two. I will try that and get back to you. Thanks!

Thanks! Actually I just re encoded the clip with AE and remembered the RGB + Alpha setting there (which was different in Adobe Media Encoder and Premiere). Re ran it and problem solved!
Thank you!

Solved here as well!
For me it was rendering to high and not normal AND "alpha type straight"
Thanks t13swift and thanks Oaktown!

Just in case others are wondering what I did in Adobe After Effects (that was not in others), see my Render Cue settings below
