APC40 Default midimap - Simple Question.

Post by francoe »

Hi everyone.
I used to play the infamous APC40 with a custom translation setup via Bome.
But Bome's translator don't have the stability I want over osx. So, I get it rid off of the chain.
Now I'm using the default map, just pluggin the controller to resolume and playing.

My point is, I like to have a lot of filters bypass, but linking a button to a bypass makes the light turn on.
I mean, when a filter is bypassed the button light is allways on. Used to invert this behaviour with the translator, but now I'm stuck.
Is there a way to tunne up the xml or something to invert that values?

All I want is: Fx On-Light On -> Fx Off-Light Off

(sorry if I can't explain it in a better way, rusty english),

You get into a crazy feedback loop when you invert the toggle behaviour.

Toggling the button on will send an on message to Resolume, turning the bypass on, we would then invert this so the bypass is actually turned off, which would send an off message to the button to turn itself off as well, which will turn the button off and send an off message to Resolume to turn the bypass off, which we would then invert so the bypass is actually on, which would then send an on message to the controller to turn itself on, which would send an on message to Resolume which we would then invert to ... Etc etc. Repeat to infinity.

So, the answer is resolume can only send out the same values that comes in, right?

(I'm sorry you writed all that, I undestand what you means).
