I don't know how to achieve this, but hear about it twice  problem solves by restarting resolume.

A picture's worth a thousand words, but what is the problem that I should be seeing? The blend being on the top and bottom of the left slice?

Instead of restarting Resolume, what happens when you disable and re-enable the advanced output?

Red is overlap zone of two slices, when they turn softedge on, it works like on the photo in first post.
I can't reproduce this issue by myself. I only know that they using vistual outputs.

Looks like resolume takes top of image (which height is size of overlap zone), makes it softedge, and glue it to the bottom of slice.

Looks like the slice's input is moved to extend outside of the comp. So it wraps around and starts to blend with itself.

You can tell because the top of the circle appears at the bottom again.

Looks like, setting slice input outside composition size and turning on soft edge is unexpected behavior. But I don't know why they do that.

When you move the slice outside the comp with softedging turned on, Resolume assumes you want to wrap around for a stitched projection.

Hmmm, like mapping on cylinder or sphere? If it so, I think, you should write about it in manual :)

I thought about it a little, and decided that it's always better to see whats overlapping on projection before toggling soft edge on.

So, picture must wraps around without soft edge turned on, I think. Or there is should be a checkbox "wrap image".
