Resolume Arena 5 dropping frames and FPS display.

Hi,

I'm currently on a show using Resolume Arena 5.0.2 on a Mac Pro (Trash Can). I have 2 live inputs from 2 Blackmagic Ultra Studio 4k's at 1280 x 720 50p and a Syphon input from qLab, running on the same machine. Resolume is getting used primarily to mix a few PIP's and for a few logos and has a composition size of 1920 x 1080, with advanced mapping to a physical output of 1920 x 1080 at 60p. There are 4 monitors in total connected to the Mac Pro, 4 on Apple Active Dual Link Adapters and 1 on HDMI for control.

My issue is, Resolume keeps dropping the frame rate from an average of 59.98 to 40-45 and in the process stuttering on the output, pausing for 4 - 5 frames. It then recovers less than a second later and is fine. This happens seemingly randomly and on average once every couple of minutes. What’s odd is that I have a duplicate backup machine that appears to be doing the same thing.

Another thing I have noticed is that every now and again the FPS display will disappear and then come back 10 - 15 minutes later.

Any thoughts please....

you could monitor the background processes which one causes the system load at the time of the frame drops

Have you had any luck? I have a 2013 MacPro as well and I am having a similar issue just running even one layer.
I have check everything and shut down all process.
It is now also happening on my 2013 rMBP.
I thought at first it was hardware as I had never seen this before but now I get this on all my machines.
