Hi,

I am looking for software to un distort live video shot using a 360 degree parabolic mirror. It is early days but I have found a basic formulae for the distortion which should allow me to create a cylindrical image format used in head mounted displays. In principle it should be no different from say wrapping live video around a sphere or onto any other geometric object. Any advice or sources of information would be much appreciated.

Regards

if you want to do live 3d stuff, try pilgrim, whre you can create complete 3d scenes in 3d. but this kind of vj-software, you have to programm your sets much more, it is not so intuitive, as resolume.

from what i think you are trying to do, you might want to check out a program called HDRI shop, its used for High Dynamic Range Images, and can be used for polar coordanate maping and what not.
