I have not had a chance to really play with the beta yet but the one feature I have been hoping for was master transport control.
I want to be able to play, pause, FF, RR and set master in and out points for the whole composition.
I admit I do not use the software in the same way as most users. I run Video Playback for Film and TV. Res is great because I can play back multiple streams from the same computer in sync.
I sometimes run as many as 7 feeds from the same machine along with my viewing monitor. (2x geforce 1080s) we get half way through the take and the director yells cut. "Playback can you start that from where we left off for the next few takes?" now I have to set 7 individual in-times on the fly which in our would takes too much time. Any suggestions?
I do see many new feature that will help with my job and cant wait to play with it in more detail
BETA 6 feedback (no master transport control?)

If you enable the Show layer transport controls in View menu you get composition level buttons too, for forward, backward, pause and random.
These set the playing clip's direction in the layers all at once, basically the same as if you'd set the clip directions one by one.
Master in and out points are not available.
But you could use and external OSC control software that could do that for you.
The playhead adjustment could also be done via OSC or Midi, setting the same midi control to all of the layer play positions, you could scrub all the layers and clips at once, but this will only keep sync if your clips are the same length.

Another approach would be to set all your content to SMPTE timecodeI sometimes run as many as 7 feeds from the same machine along with my viewing monitor. (2x geforce 1080s) we get half way through the take and the director yells cut. "Playback can you start that from where we left off for the next few takes?" now I have to set 7 individual in-times on the fly which in our would takes too much time. Any suggestions?
That way you'd position all subsequent clips on the next frame to get continuous playback. So for instance clip 1 in layer 1 is 00:03:25:12, you would offset clip 2 in layer 1 to 00:03:25 and so on and so forth.
This way when your director stops, all you have to do is stop the SMPTE generator which will stop every clip and you can rewind to an exact point by scrubbing (or keying a value) your SMPTE timeline. If you scrub, all your clips will adjust on the fly.
It's a bit heavier to put in place up front and I recommend using a timecode calculator to avoid
The main limitation is that this technique will only work for video clips with Audio.
Re: BETA 6 feedback (no master transport control?)
I'm not awake yet! This timecode approach would only work if you build master clips for each layer (After Effect or Premier) that contain all the segments you are using!
