I am building a 3 resolume PC's with single 1080 cards and Blackmagic or Magewell Pro capture cards. I am curious if anyone has experience with motherboards that are consistently reliable . I am considering the new 8700k processor so I would need z370 chipset but I also was cirous if the 99 series boards are better.

In the two machines I have built and used I ran a MSI z170a Gaming M5 board with a 6700k, decklink duo 2 and gtx1070 (this is now my home machine). The setup I am using right now is running a Gigabyte z270mx board with 7600k, decklink duo 2 and gtx1070.

No issues with either setup. Kicking myself for going with the 7600 instead of a 7700 or another 6700 but it still works good.

I'd upgrade the SSD and GPU, But in terms of a MOBO and CPU combo, Here's my 2 cents:

Hello, i need to build an Arena Media Server for a fixed installation, it is going to be connected to two LED processors each at 1080p, and also capture card (blackmagic quad) that can support up to 5 input simultaneously. Most of the time will be 6 layers playing, 1 Background and 5 live feeds.

Here is the question, budget is not a problem, but is arena going to be stable enough to be always on and playing live feeds? We also need to make some preset layouts to have different screen options.

I don't know if i am in the right topic but help is really appreciated.
