Hi there.
I suggest this feature.
When placing an image on a clip, you can set duration.
When a layer or clip is in autopilot, this sets, the duration.
This is handy when having a slideshow.
Why not have the same option on a movie clip?
I have a lot of loops. I want my 5 sec loop to repeat for eg. 33 sec, THEN move automatic to next clip.
Now i can only see the loop once, then the next clip is played automaticly.
For audio, i have not tried.
...or am i missing something...

Play loop (movie clip) for N sec.
Re: Play loop (movie clip) for N sec.
Here is a quick workaround:
Now you can get fancy and animate the router opacity to [Clip Position] and [Envelope] so that you can finely tune the opacity of the clip during the "n" seconds
- - Put the movie you want to loop for n seconds in layer 1 (or layer X) and turn layer opacity to 0
- Put a video router on layer 2 (or layer X+1), turn layer opacity to 100, select layer 1 (or X) as source and uncheck [Input Opacity] under Transport
- Set the duration of your video router to "n" seconds
- Put a blank clip (available under the Sources tab) next to the router
- Set the router to [Auto Pilot>Trigger Next Clip] - as an alternative you could set it to Trigger a specific clip on that layer
- Create a group with layers 1 & 2
- Trigger your 2 layers using the column trigger either in Group or Comp

It works. It is a workaround, but it works.
Now, i only need to do this on a lot of loops.
- still dreaming of a simple duration for movies.
Tx.
