Why when I switch between videos, or load a new deck, or do sometime that shouldn't slowdown my live playing video, does slow it down? It freezes for about half a second when I switch between videos even with NO effects running? And it completely throws me off from matching the music beat. Any suggestions?
All my videos are AVI Cinepak Codec by Radius, 400x300, 1000kb data rate, 1 keyframe every frame. average 10mb - 90mb files.
My system is:
Alienware 7700m notebook
Dual 3.2 ghz
2 Gigs of RAM
Geforce 6800 256ram xpress16 pci
Smooth transition problem

HD speed
thats defenetly hard-disk speed... the stalling is caused by seek and load times of your harddisk which it has to do because of thumbnail generating, my gues is youre using the internal hd of the laptop?
try using an external hd preferably firewire...
