I am at wits end with recorded files size so small

First of i have been recording visuals monthly for DJ mixes that are then broadcast via twitch ect. This are video files with matching audio files. Smooth sailing for the last year, my final recorded video out of Resolume nearly matches up with the time of the audio file, maybe a few seconds off in the course of 1hr plus videos. This time around I end up with 20-25 min video for over an hour recording. Ive tried everything I think of changing ect. even test recorded for 1min, 5min, ect and end up with about a little more than a third of video. As I said before never an issue before. I am running an i9 with rtx 2070 64 gb ram most recent updates. Resolume rarely glitches when I throw everything I have into it. Please HELP!!

Looks like Resolume is dropping a lot of frames when recording.
If you enable show FPS in the Output menu, what are the numbers you see in the preview monitor when recording?

Dropping a lot!!! My fps stays at about 1/3 of my fps setting only changing slightly when I change my fps setting composition. Running using 5% cpu and 18% memory and I'm dropping two thirds of my frames!!!

Spout, and other outputs use a GPU resources, it's natural that you see FPS drop with it.
Though an RTX2070 should be pretty capable and you'd need to throw a lot at it to see FPS drop below 30.

Do you have all your displays connected to the RTX, and is your primary windows display set to a monitor connected to the RTX directly?

Yes my monitors are connected directly to rtx. Ndi works just fine no frames dropping when it is running just spout.

How about a new composition with only a single clip playing, does recording work with that fine?

Could you please send us the Resolume log file via the feedback tab in preferences?
Thanks!

Ok, then it's the spout output ;)

Can you try updating your nvidia drivers to the latest studio release, and double check that Spout DX9 mode is disabled?
You can use SpoutSettings.exe, which is part of the Spout installer you can get at https://spout.zeal.co/
