Spout problem caused by: Nvidia GPU 0 - Copy

Post by stormfield »

Hi! I am running Arena 7.2.1 on Nvidia RTX 2080, newest Nvidia driver (Studio), Windows 10 latest update

I am sending video from Arena > Texture Sharing (Spout) > Spout receiver plugin in side Unreal Engine 4.2.6

I'm having weird issues where Unreal receives a black image, not the visuals from Resolume.

Have tested using other Spout routings, as comparison:
Spout Demo Sender > Unreal = OK
Touch Designer > Unreal = OK
Resolume Arena 7 > Unreal = NO

Looking in Task Manager, I see that Resolume is on "GPU 0 - Copy" but Unreal is on "GPU 0 - 3D"

The Spout plugin guy suggests this is the problem = Resolume + Unreal need to be on same GPU 0 - 3D

I tried to hard-set both Resolume + Unreal to same Nvidia settings:
Windows > Settings > Display > Graphics Setings > Graphics Performance preference >
choose Resolume + Unreal > OPTIONS > High Performance Nvidia RTX 2080

Task Manger shows that Resolume is still on GPU 0 - Copy

It needs to be on GPU 0 - 3D
How can i fix this please?

Grateful for advice!

best

D.

Is your primary windows display connected to the 2080?
Software developer, Sound Engineer,
Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch
