I would like an option to assign a clip's target to a specific layer.
For example, lets say I would like to trigger all my transparent clips to layer 8 as I press 'em.
Clip Target to specific layer
Re: Clip Target to specific layer
Moving them to layer 8 would be probably the fastest to set up, even if there would be an option you could set on the clip level

Re: Clip Target to specific layer
Well, when you place your clips in relative to your midi device arrangement, moving them to layer 8 might not be an option....
Re: Clip Target to specific layer
Just searched the forum to see if this request had been made.
We often set up a nice grid of clips as a simple "click and play" palette of options for less experienced technicians to play with. We set all the clips (can do a whole layer at a time by selecting multiple clips) to "Active Layer" in the Target option.
This relies on them not clicking on any of the other layer selectors. Would be lovely if we could select "Layer X" as an option in the Target drop down to ensure they always go to the desired place.
The only alternative is to have all the clips in one layer and scroll sideways through them, this isn't ideal as there could easily be 100+ clips in the deck.
