Slice Transform with overlapping slices

Hey Folks.
I have a complex LED panel deployment with 6 HD outputs routed to 6 pixel processors. So far we've been using one HD composition to drive the show. Venue has a main upstage screen, dj booth, other LED panels all over the place, etc. In the advanced output we obviously output map to 6 separate HD feeds, however our input map is derived from the composition (used for the main upstage screen) with a lot (like a LOT) of slice overlaps. This is great because comp level effects work across all slices.
The goal now is to add a layer for logos. We need to be able to resize, orient, and switch on/off the logo areas. So... slice transform right? Except now when I send the logo layer to slices -using the slice transform effect, they overlap and mish-mash on the composition output. Looks okay on the ancillary panels, but main screen looks like garbage. I tried to resolve this with slice routing to groups + layers, but this doesn't jive with slice transform obviously, and would commit me to a very complex effects setup across groups + layers (eg no composition effects).
So, the question is this; is there a way to use slice transform and maintain my single HD composition input map, etc. without removing the the overlapping slices (eg. UN-overlapping them) ? I'm imagining something like slice routing within the slice transform... or does the slice transform ALWAYS intrinsically send it's content to the composition output and I just have to remove my overlapping?
Thanks in advance.
