Is there a way of seeing the numerical values coming in through FFT so that I can adjust and debug my sound-reactive wire patches accordingly?
At the moment the only way to see the effect of FFT is to have the patch play binside of Resolume but this means that I have no idea of what kind of FFT values I'm dealing with.
Debugging FFT
Re: Debugging FFT
Spectrum input loaded in Wire, doesn't give a changing signal at this time. We know this makes making FFT patches not really easy, and have a ticket to give a sample FFT signal for the patch debug.
As they are just numbers, you could make a single string of the FFT values, and then use a text render to show that in the patch when loaded in Resolume.
Watch out not to create 1024 text renderers
something like this:

Re: Debugging FFT
Here is a little patch I made to help monitoring what comes into the spectrum in node, maybe this is useful for someone.
Just copy to your patches folder and load as a source in Arena.

Re: Debugging FFT
Looks great, thanks a lot.
I'll be testing it soon.
