Update etiquette?

Post by atlibolla »

Hey,
the update window I've been ignoring for months popped up when I launched Arena today and I was like "well I might as well update". There was no mention of my update subscription having expired so once the update was finished I was greeted with the Arena watermark and the robotic voice overlay.

Panicked, I went to settings and saw, post-update, that I wasn't entitled to an update. Fine. I was told I could revert to 7.7 but I was running 7.14 before.

Now this just happened earlier and I haven't yet run into any problems running 7.7 but I still feel pretty annoyed that I was downgraded for having installed an update on Arena's own suggestion, with no prior warning. Is this how the system is meant to work?

Can you contact us with your license key on mail@resolume.com so we can check out what is going wrong here?

Your license allows versions up till 7.7
You had 7.4.1 installed before on your Kraftbuch-IV

In the latest versions, Resolume has a checkbox for disabling automatic update checks, so accidental updates don't happen.

Oh my God, I'm so sorry - you're right, I just mixed up the numbers: 7.4.1 > 7.14

Sorry to have wasted your time!
