Layer numbering

Layer numbering

I am kind of curious as to why the layer numbering is setup as 1 starting from the bottom?

To me it seems that the layer that will be on the most top should be layer #1.

Resolume rendering starts from the bottom.
You start with an empty canvas, paint your first layer on it, then the second and so on.
