Straight Alpha Support in Alley

Hi all,

Sorry if this is obvious and I'm missing it... but is there no way to work with Straight Alpha source files in Alley? I know Resolume can specify both channel interpretations, but I'm working with Prores 4444 clips rendered with Straight Alpha and want to use Alley to batch convert them to DXVs. Is this possible? If not, I'll move over to the New Features subforum.

Thanks

The stored pixel values are encoded as they are, the alpha type is not stored, you can change it in the clip panel after loading:

Hi there! No, sorry, I'm talking about Alley. Resolume has that dropdown, sure, but I don't see such a feature in Alley, right?

It's not a huge deal, but it does mean that when I batch transcode a bunch of stuff in Alley, I have to pick out the ones with Straight Alpha and do it in something like Media Encoder instead, which is a bit annoying.

If you convert files with alpha to a format with alpha, Alley should do that without touching the alpha type.
Then you can still select the type in Resolume.
